ORGANICS

why organic?

Have you thought about how the old adage ‘you are what you eat’ relates to us & chemicals?

Many studies have been conducted world wide investigating the burden of chemicals on the human body … something we dont always think about as we put food in our mouths, products on our skin or clean the house … (see Chemical Free Kids below if you would like a reliable source of some of the research)

We do not need or want what we consume to be a[another]stress in life; using certified organic products will help remove these concerns.

Organic products are not only better for us but they are also beneficial for the environment. The organic ingredients in Certified organic products are grown and processed  using ecological & sustainable farm management systems; promoting biodiversity, enhancing soil fertility, preventing topsoil erosion, protecting groundwater, conserving energy and protecting our next generation.

certified organic vs ‘natural’ & ‘organic’

To ensure the product you are buying/using is truly Certified Organic : look to ensure there is third party certification such as Australian Certified Organic or USDA Organic : thereby ensuring there are NO synthetics!

Organic from a chemist perspective means it includes carbon compounds; so the word ‘organic’ on a label does not necessarily mean the ingredients or product are certified organic.

Natural ingredients are not necessarily free from toxic damage from pesticides, synthetic fertilisers, antibiotics  and growth hormones; and natural products are not necessarily free from potentially harmful synthetic ingredients.
